Poor Me (...er, poor Seth?)

While doing the dishes today, I found myself screaming to Seth, "If you break things in our house, you're going to be in BIG trouble!!!!"

A few minutes later it was "Are you trying to break our drawers? You can't do that!!"

(And maybe there was some before that too...I'll chaulk it up to being a blur.)

*And just right this minute, I catch him playing with Thomas the Tank Engine while sitting up on our entertainment center.*

What's the deal?!

I like to think that I was a more patient, less yelling mother - and I actually believe that I was when...
-I only had one child
-I worked during the day and was estatic to see Seth in the evenings
-I wasn't woken up to screaming at 3 in the morning (which did not settle down until about 4 in the morning)

Excuses, excuses, I know.

This blog is just to let me re-group for the rest of the day...which I will acheive...after naptime.

Excuses, excuses, I know......

Yes, we all have our excuses and even though I know I shouldn't respond the way I do and I am constantly working on it.....they are still valid excuses that contribute to our lack of sanity at times.

I read something tonight on another blog....the mom said that when she is having "moments" with her kids she thinks back to a time when she realized...."I'm gonna miss this." I pray that I can get that through my thick head.....I am gonna miss all the "moments" that are driving me crazy now.....so I should try extra hard to enjoy them.

And just for the record....I think you do a much better job at this than I do!!

First I agree with the above post, I am sure you do a better job at this than me!!! But I know what you mean, I'll yell at the dogs, and then realize what I'm teaching the girls...it's so hard to be a role model to kids 24/7!

Hope you get some sleep tonight!
